Impact Matrix
In a country with 800 million mobile subscribers growing at over 20% annually; producing over 350,000 engineering graduates every year with 30% being unemployed after graduating; 410 million people living below the UN defined poverty line; 7 ranks holders in the Forbes Global List of Billionaires 2010; and 334 domestic and foreign registered venture funds, the impact of success in GLX is hard to comprehend, leave aside estimate.
However, it is the estimation of the sum total of the impacts which will bring forward the value of the enterprise ‘Team Indus’.
The impact is multidimensional and of all the dimensions, the emotional and social impact is the overwhelming maxima. The financial impact will probably be the least, in the short run that is. In this matrix of impact, the metamorphosis of this challenge to ‘liberate and ignite the minds of Indian youth’ is the immortal finale.
Therefore, the value arbitrage between now and impact is manifold.
Monetization of this value will have different meaning for different investors. The good news is that fund requirement is low at this stage and the bad news is that there will be no such good news after a few months. The other news is that after several dipsticks, reactions are mostly positive and all are waiting.
What are we offering? We are offering risk…the reward for which belongs to a new realm of investment returns altogether.
Where would be reward without risk?
A drop of India in the ‘Sea of Tranquility’!
